Policies

Registration Fee:

A registration fee of $35 per student or $45 per family is due at the time of registration. The fee will help to cover the costs of studio maintenance throughout the year. This fee is non-refundable.

  • A minimum of 5 students is needed in order to hold a class. If you are registered for a class that does not meet this requirement by the start of the year then your registration fee will be returned.

Weather Cancellation Policy:

If Waverly-Shell Rock schools are cancelled, let out early, or evening activities have been cancelled due to weather conditions, then ALL dance classes will also be cancelled. I will also relay this information via KWWL so please check your TV or their website www.KWWL.com.

Student Absence:

Please email or call to notify me if your child will need to be absent from class. There are no make-up classes or payment refunds for missed classes so it is important that you try your best to attend every class.

Studio Rules:

  • No street shoes allowed on dance floor

  • All personal items should be left in the waiting area

  • Put your name on all shoes/personal items

  • Remember to use the restroom before class

  • No GUM!

  • Be to class on time

  • Cell phones need to be left in the waiting area

  • No socializing during class time

Waiting Room Rules:

  • Melanie’s Dance Academy is not responsible for any lost or stolen items

  • Children under 7yrs old should NOT be left alone in the waiting area

  • Be respectful of others

  • Clean-up after yourself

  • No food/drink in waiting area – WATER is acceptable
